pCMV-HA-Ub Description
There are four human ubiquitin genes, which encode the same protein, called ubiquitin molecule. The mRNA levels of these four genes are slightly different, but the protein sequences are the same. Among them, ubiquitin C (UBC) and ubiquitin B (UBB) genes are the most common. UBC mRNA encodes six repeats of ubiquitin molecule, and UBB encodes four repeats of ubquitin molecule. Therefore, ha-ub cloned from foreign sources only clone one UB molecule, that is, only 76 amino acids.
